Jesus Take The Wheel
She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati
On a snow white Christmas Eve
Going home to see her momma and her daddy
With the baby in the back seatFifty miles to go and
She was running low on faith and gasoline
It'd been a long, hard year
She had a lot on her mind and she didnt pay attention
She was going way too fast
Before she knew it she was spinning
On a thin black sheet of glass
She saw both their lives flash before her eyes
She didnt even have time to cry
She was soo scared
She threw her hands up in the air
Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
*That is the new song I will be working on with my new group Texas Roadhouse Band which is a country cover band...Why not?!!!!
I have a new wonderful venue at a restaurant and bar in my home town every Thursday and Saturday night. I also host an open mic at the end of the show.
Life is good. I went to the beach yesterday. It was a very remote beach on the Texas Gulf coast.
It is actually the beach where the endangered turtles come to lay their nests of eggs. It felt like scared ground to me.
I know many of my friends come to my journal to see what I am up to. I have some great news. My love songs will be in a new independent movie out of San Antonio entitled "Tag".

There are so many lyrics about RAIN
Again I will be posting "rain thoughts" until it rains here. It is dusty, dry and dead around at my South Texas ranch when we should have wildflowers coming up....
"Who'll Stop The Rain"
Long as I remember
The rain been coming down
Clouds of mystery falling
Confusion on the ground
Good men through the ages
Trying to find a sun
And I wonder, still I wonder
Who'll stop the rain
I went down Virginia
Seeking shelter from the storm
Caught up in the fable I watched the tower grow
About your plans for new year
Wrapped in golden chains
And I wonder still I wonder
Who'll stop the rain
Heard the singers playing
How I cheered for more
The crowd had rushed together
Trying to keep warm
And still the rain kept falling falling on my head
And I wonder still I wonder
Who'll stop the rain

Bus Stop
Written by the Hollies in about 1967
Bus stop, wet day, she's there, I say
Please share my umbrella
Bus stop, bus goes, she stays, love grows
Under my umbrella
All that summer we enjoyed it
Wind and rain and shine
That umbrella, we employed it
By August, she was mine
Every morning I would see her waiting at the stop
Sometimes she'd shopped and she would show me what she bought
All the people stared as if we were both quite insane
Someday my name and hers are going to be the same
That's the way the whole thing started
Silly but it's true
Thinkin' of a sweet romance
Beginning in a queue
Came the sun the ice was melting
No more sheltering now
Nice to think that that umbrella
Led me to a vow
Every morning I would see her waiting at the stop
Sometimes she'd shopped and she would show me what she bought
Other people stared as if we were both quite insane
Someday my name and hers are going to be the same
Bus stop, wet day, she's there, I say
Please share my umbrella
Bus stop, bus goes, she stays, love grows
Under my umbrella
All that summer we enjoyed it
Wind and rain and shine
That umbrella, we employed it
By August, she was mine
